Some of My Favorite Powerful Questions

What makes a “powerful” question is not only does it help a client get closer to solving a problem, it helps them learn something about themselves at the same time.

Here are some of my favorite powerful questions to use in nearly any situation:

  • What do you really want?

  • What is getting in the way?

  • What would happen if you do nothing?

  • Why not now?

  • Which of your strengths could help you get there?

The key to delivering these questions in a powerful way is to ask and then sit in silence while they answer.
